News Bulletins
News bulletins run every half hour during the Kiss Breakfast Show… containing national, local, entertainment & sporting stories relevant to the Kiss format. Breakfast and Drive shows also provide Traffic & Travel information every hour. In the event of extreme traffic & travel events, extra bulletins are added typically every hour throughout the day.

Recent News Stories Covered
Kiss 105-108 was able to respond to a crippling train derailment at Wretham that resulted in closing the A1075. As well as offering a helpline to concerned listeners needing more information in case friends or relatives were on the train, there was also extended traffic and travel information. We also monitored diversions to help avoid listeners on the road all taking the same alternative route and simply causing a secondary road block. (This event lasted nearly all day). The News team (must include contact info and number of news people employed) Kiss 105-108 news is provided by our dedicated journalists Dawn Fraser and Neil Didsbury employed full time and based at our Bury St Edmunds studios. IRN’s news service also contributes to our key sources.
Kiss also informs commuters about jams and tube congestion, each hour, with our Traffic & Travel information...for all the latest news stories see the Kiss News Blog

Automated Programming
Automation on Kiss is only in overnight shows – a total of 3 hours during the week called Non Stop Kiss and 3 hours on the weekend, hosted by Neev. Occasionally for reasons and holiday or sickness our specialist local shows may sometimes be pre-recorded, however there is always a live technical Operator monitoring the output locally. This would account for no more than 2 hours additional non-live programming on Saturday and Sunday.

Local Programming
A minimum of 7 hours a day is produced locally. Typically the breakfast show and the afternoon/drivetime show.

Events / Charities Support or Coverage
Kiss regularly supports many youth related charities and community help services. We’ve recently supported the Trident 'Stop The Guns' campaign. Kiss is also involved in local events on a community level by assigning our street team to offer support – many of these events happen off-air – our involvement is local.

Recent Programme Highlights
Kiss 105-108 promote and nurture key local "specialist programming", dipping into genres like Drum & Bass, House and hard trance. These styles are prominent within Kiss 105-108’s transmission area which we reflect in programming Our world famous DJ’s regularly break new music onto the scene and are often joined in the studio by the artists making the music. By example Ric Groves recently broke the new techno song “Put your hands up for Detroit” and the artist Fedde le Grand was interviewed on his show. This song is now tipped nationally to be one of the biggest house and chart hits of the year.

Any other issues or areas of interest likely to impact on localness
The Kiss 105-108 Street team is regularly on the streets of East Anglia at local events for Sport, Music and Education. We often encourage our listeners to improve education and offer career advice by pointing them in the direction of helpful organisations and offering information on this website.
